Fact Check: Cloe Lacasse Scored More Than 70 Goals for Benfica between 2019-2023

A post on X, formerly Twitter, claimed that female Canadian footballer, Cloe Lacasse, has scored 70 goals in 74 appearances for Benfica between 2019-2023.

The 30 year old won a Concacaf silver medal with Canada in 2022. She also won three championships, three League Cups, and two Portuguese Super Cups.

How True is this claim?

According to a report on goal.com, Cloe scored 102 goals in 131 games during her successful four-year career with Benfica. She played for the Portuguese club between 2019 to 2023, before her much celebrated move to Arsenal.

Skysports also report that the Cloe scored 102 goals in 131 games during her four-year spell with Benfica.

Before her move from Portugal to Arsenal, Lacasse won Golden Boot in 2019-20 and player of the Year 2022-23.


The post on X claiming Lacasse scored 70 goals in 74 games for Benfica between 2019 to 2023 is false!
